“Buckcherry is very unique band and it's taken me a good six years to really understand that. I always wanted to be in one band for my entire life span and make lots of records and make a difference. When you go to a BC show it's really an extension of who we are as people we just want everyone to be accepted and to feel apart of the BC family so to speak. We don't put ourselves above anyone and I think that's the key to making great records. We just want people to have fun, get fucked, and enjoy being who they are. I was never doing the right thing at the right time, I guess you could say I'm a little off… But once I found music that was my passion and I’ll never stop.”
California native Josh Todd was born in Los Angeles and soon moved to Orange County where he grew up in the Orange County punk rock scene. Josh started singing and writing lyrics at the age of sixteen, fresh out of High School and after a couple of small bands in his hometown he left the Orange curtain behind to move to Los Angeles and pursue his dream of becoming “the biggest piece of shit life had to offer.” One day while getting tattooed a guy walked in the room by the name of Keith Nelson and introduced himself to Todd and they decided to get together and write a few songs. Apprehensive of each other and jaded by the on slot of lame musicians in Los Angeles at the time Nelson and Todd created a bond that would surpass anything they could have possibly imagine.
