Born: September 10th
Where: Chicago, IL
Instrument: Guitar

From blues epicenter Chicago, Stevie D. was born and raised, and found the love of his life, guitar. Having been shown the ropes as a teen by Pete Cosey (house guitarist at Chess Records [Muddy Waters/Howlin' Wolf], Miles Davis) Stevie began his path of straddling the worlds of Blues and Rock guitar. "I really got the bigger picture after sneaking into the downtown blues clubs like Kingston Mines and Bulls. Until then, I was wandering aimlessly in how hard or fast I could play... Now it's all about having heart and soul. Delivering it with good tone and a snarl doesn't hurt either."

After taking a cloud of insanity thru Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, Stevie took a break from music to save his life. "I was a little caught up in the sex and drugs part, and forgot about the Rock n' Roll..." The break proved to be effective and since bouncing back has been touring and making records for bands on Warner Bros., Arista, and Wind-Up Records, as well as sessions for t.v. and radio. Some of the tours have included Aerosmith, KISS, and Cheap Trick just to name a few.

"I always knew I wanted to be in a band with those guys, I met Josh out in Venice (CA) years ago, we were even roommates at one point. Man, it's amazing we're not dead. I used to rehearse next door to BC and listen to Keith play thru the adjoining wall... loved how he incorporated Robert Johnson and Billy Gibbons into his playing. When I got the call to do this, I didn't even have to think twice. NOW was finally the right time. I have a kanji tattooed on me that means Spring. It's for new life and new beginnings, and that's what this is for me. After what I've been thru, I'm really lucky to be here. I've seen and done some amazing things since being in Buckcherry.. It's a good thing I picked up the phone that day."
